Education

iNOVA Media Lab is the laboratory of two advanced education programs.

PhD program

The Digital Media PhD program, proposed by the University of Porto and NOVA University of Lisbon, provides specialized training in the field of Digital Media, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and mutual support between undergraduate students, professors and industry partners. The Digital Media PhD Program involves a full year of courses, including theoretical, methodological and laboratory-based work. By the middle of the second year, students present their dissertation research ideas, in order to the remaining two years working on their original research.

The program particularly encourages applicants who work at the intersections of digital media arts, sciences and technologies and seek an interdisciplinary approach. The iNOVA Media Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technological resources. The program annually offers four vacancies. Further information can be consulted here.
